Social Studies
The results are in for the ballots cast for Mr. Gallo and Mr. D'Oria's classes.......

Share with a parent what happened when we counted the votes for mayor using first past the post then ranked voting.

Remember the two main reasons why ranked voting might be considered more fair.

Math
Grade fours we discussed how to describe repeating shape patterns in terms of their attributes.

Remember to tell how each attribute changes. For example:

Just like all repeating patterns step one is the circle the core.
Next, decide which attributes are changing, then decide how each attribute is changing.
Write a letter model for the pattern.
Finally write the pattern rule.

Shape: rhombus, hexagon, square hexagon, rhombus repeat
Colour: blue, yellow, orange, yellow, blue repeat
Size: big, big, small, big, big repeat
Letter Model: A-B-C-B-A-A-B-C-B-A
Pattern Rule: big blue rhombus, big yellow hexagon, small orange square, big yellow hexagon, big blue rhombus repeat
