Math
Today we practiced following pattern rules to solve problems or extend or create patterns. You can finish Action Task and Your Turn Questions tomorrow. Focus on studying for your test. Here are some sample questions.

Grade 4:

  • Create a repeating pattern with a core of 4. Find the 50th term.
  • Create a repeating pattern. The 20th term must be 8.
  • Create a t-chart showing the number of hours in 7 days. Write the pattern rule.
  • Abby makes a friendship bracelet using 12 beads. How many beads will she need for 5 bracelets? Use a t-chart. Write the pattern rule.


Grade 5:
Create a shape pattern that matches this number pattern: 1, 3, 6, 10, 15, 21
Write the pattern rule.

Mr. Gallo is making teams for our Poly-Filla soccer tournament. The least number of students on a team is 12 and the most is 15. Set up a table showing the number of teams, least and most players.
Use your table help you decide the number of teams and players on each team if 83 students are participating.
