Math
In grade four we talked a bit about writing pattern rules and growing or increasing patterns. A pattern rule is written in this format:

START AT ______________ __________________ EACH TIME.

Tomorrow we will continue with growing patterns. Make sure you complete Your Turn practice questions on repeating patterns. Don't worry about #4. We didn't talk about reflections. When you reflect a shape, you flip it. So to create a pattern using a reflected shape, you would keep flipping it. If you're interested it might look something like this. Do you see the core?

In grade five we reviewed growing shape patterns and how we can turn a growing shape pattern into a numeric pattern. Please make sure you complete Your Turn practice questions. Remember you must use the shape before to make the next term and add onto it in the same way.

Religion
Do you think you might be able to create your sacred place at home? Share with a parent the sacramentals you would like to put in your sacred place.... a place of prayer.

Make sure your sketch is coloured for tomorrow.

Social Studies

The power went off during our Social Studies lesson. Here are the pages you will need to complete the fill in the blanks:

Don't worry about the question about City of London bylaws. The wording on the website was too difficult. We'll go through it tomorrow.

Please look at all the reminders from the weekend post. Don't forget our school-wide food drive.
