Health
Today we talked about eating a rainbow of fruits and vegetables. Unfortunately, we were unable to complete the task on the computer. Below is a table outlining the benefits of each of the "colours" of fruits and vegetables.

Your task was to create a meal including dessert on a plate that includes all 3 food groups and a rainbow of fruit and vegetables. For example, for dinner you could have:

Chicken with mushrooms and onions, a glass of milk, quinoa, green beans and carrots, salad with tomatoes and blueberries for dessert.

Remember the importance of serving size. Size of your fist is the size of a serving.

Feel free to work on this at home.

Math
Decimals test on Wednesday
Measurement test on Thursday (which will include decimals)

Review using the weekend blog post as a guide.

Try these:

  • If there are 60 brochures in a stack and each of them are 8 mm thick, how high is the stack?

  • A plank of wood is 5 m long. If 150 cm is sawn off , how much is left ?

  • How many 20 mm pieces of gold wire can be cut from 1 m?

  • One day I bought 3 pieces of ribbon. Their lengths were 0.75 m, 50 cm and 75 cm. What was the total length? If ribbon cost $2 a metre, how much did I spend?

Science

Bring your different materials (transparent, translucent, opaque) to conduct investigation tomorrow!
